According to YG Entertainment, the documentary “Blackpink: Light Up the Sky” will be released exclusively on Netflix on October 14.
BLACKPINK’s is the Star of Netflix’s first K-pop documentary, “BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky.”
In addition, the process of recording their albums, which have been loved for numerous hit songs, and honest interviews with the four members will give a glimpse into how “Artist BLACKPINK” shows synergy and melts individual lives in them.
“Black Pink: Light the World” was directed by Caroline Seo, who performed a well-made documentary with “Salt, Mountain, Local, Fire.”
Caroline Seo is rumoured to have captured their candid and natural moments based on her good relationship with the BLACKPINK members.
“We are looking forward to sharing our story with BLINKs around the world through the Netflix documentary,” Black Pink said. “I hope this film will give viewers joy.”
“I’m really lucky to be working with BLACKPINK, the most popular girl group in the world at the moment,” said Netflix’s Adam del Deo documentary VP.
“I’m very happy to be able to show their sincerity to BLACKPINK fans and Netflix viewers.”
BLACKPINK has increased its global influence by releasing new songs in succession this year.
They are showing off their presence by hitting their first full-length album pre-released titles “How You Like That” and “Ice Cream” consecutively after starting their comeback with Lady Gaga’s collaboration song “Sour Candy” in May.
BLACKPINK will release its first full-length album “THE ALBUM” in four years since its debut on October 2. The album is gaining popularity with more than 800,000 preorders six days after preorders began on April 28.
